Sania Mirza, playing the last Grand Slam tournament of her career, teamed up with compatriot Rohan Bopanna to make it to the mixed doubles final of the Australian Open tennis tournament. Now his eyes are set on the seventh Major title.
The unseeded Indian pair beat third seeds Desire Krasic (USA) and Neil Skupski (Britain) 7-6(5) 6-7(5) 10-6 in a hard-fought semi-final that lasted one hour and 52 minutes.
Earlier, Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza had got a walkover over Jelena Ostapenko and David Vega Hernandez, which made the pair reach the semi-finals.

Sania has won three women’s doubles and as many mixed doubles Grand Slam titles in her career, while Bopanna has won one mixed doubles major title. Sania has announced that the WTA tournament to be held in Dubai in February will be the last tournament of her career.
