Today, at 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Nepal time, Bangladesh will play Pakistan, and India will play the Maldives.
Meanwhile, Bhutan defeated Sri Lanka 5-0 in a Group Stage match played on Friday.
This is Bhutan’s first victory in the history of the Championship. Yesterday, Bhutan’s Dekhi Lazom scored two goals, while Nyamgel Dema, Tshering Laden, and Chhiring Yangden each scored one.
With this crushing victory, Bhutan has the most points in the table, enhancing their chances of advancing to the semifinals.
Prior to this, Bhutan lost to Nepal by a score of 0-4 and Sri Lanka began its journey in this edition of the Championship with a loss.
The Group Stage match between Sri Lanka and Nepal is scheduled for September 12.
Bhutan and Sri Lanka had played to a 1-1 draw in the inaugural Women SAFF Championship, held in Bangladesh in 2010. This was their most impressive performance to date.
