Basant Panchami 2023: Mother Saraswati, the goddess of learning and wisdom, is worshiped on the fifth day of Magh Shukla. The festival of this worship is called Basant Panchami. Auspicious time of Basant Panchami (Basant Panchami 2023 Shubh Muhurt)
The fifth date of Magh Shukla will be from 12.34 pm on January 25 to 10.28 am on January 26. Due to Odia Tithi, the festival of Basant Panchami will be celebrated only on Thursday, 26th January. On this day, the auspicious time for Saraswati Puja will be from 07:12 am to 12:33 pm.

Wear yellow and white colored clothes on the festival of Basant Panchami. Offer yellow and white flowers to Goddess Saraswati. Especially offer jasmine flowers to Goddess Saraswati. On this day students should worship crying books. If you dance or are related to any kind of art, then worship your musical instruments along with Goddess Saraswati on this day.

What not to do on Basant Panchami?
Do not wear black, red or dark colored clothes on Basant Panchami. Do not say inauspicious things for anyone. There are beliefs that Goddess Saraswati sits on your tongue on this day. That’s why what you said can be true. That’s why don’t use abusive or wrong words for anyone. Also, avoid the consumption of meat and alcohol. On this day, students should take a promise to Mother Saraswati that they will study hard throughout the year.

Wear yellow, basanti or white clothes on the day of Basant Panchami. Do not wear black or red clothes. Begin the puja by facing the east or north direction. Use two and a half hours after sunrise or two and a half hours after sunset for this work. Offer white sandalwood, yellow and white flowers to Maa Saraswati. Dedicate sugar, curd in Prasad.
