Blast in Manipur ahead of Republic Day threat to blow railway station and bus station in Ahmedabad ntc

A day before the Republic Day celebrations, a blast created panic in Manipur on Wednesday. The blast took place around 5:30 pm in Ukrul city, where at least three people were injured. The condition of one is said to be serious. According to the police, this blast can be done using IED. At present it is being investigated. The explosion was so fierce that its sound was heard till Vino Bazar, two kilometers away.

According to the news agency, a police officer said that one of the three injured, a 49-year-old woman, has suffered injuries in her stomach and her condition is critical, while the condition of the other two is said to be out of danger. The three injured were admitted to the Ukhrul district hospital, from where the woman was referred to another medical establishment in Imphal, which is about 3-4 hours away.

The explosion left a small crater on the road and caused minor damage to some vehicles parked on the side of the road. So far no militant organization has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Bomb blast threat received in Ahmedabad as well

Before the Republic Day, the Ahmedabad Police has received a bomb blast threat. The letter threatened bomb blasts at Ahmedabad Railway Station (in the letter as Kalupur Railway Station) and Geeta Mandir Bus Station (the largest bus station in Ahmedabad). The Ahmedabad crime branch swung into action as soon as the threatening letter was received. More than 8 different teams have been formed for the search operation and the person who sent the threat letters has been identified.
