Former winners Nepali national women’s volleyball team is playing against Uzbekistan today to defend the title of the Asian Central Zone Women’s Volleyball Championship being held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The game will start at 11:15 in the morning.
Nepal reached the final of the six-nation tournament undefeated. Nepal, which remained undefeated till the final, is keeping the same rhythm and is planning to win the title for the second time in a row.
Nepal, who reached Dhaka with the goal of defending the title, topped the singles round robin with 14 points after winning all five games. Uzbekistan, meanwhile, finished second with 11 points after winning four games.
Uzbekistan had lost only to Nepal in the league. Nepal and Uzbekistan had beaten Sri Lanka 3-2 in the same set.
In the first match, Nepal lost to Sri Lanka 3-2 in a five-set match. After that, Nepal defeated Maldives, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan in straight sets.
