On Tuesday night, a man was murdered in an apparent pistol misfire at Ganyapadhura Rural Municipality-5 in Dadeldhura district.
According to the police, the dead man was Dal Bahadur Pan, 45, of Ganyapadhura-4, and the gun was set up to ambush wild animals at a community forest in the area.
According to the district police office, he died on his way to Dadeldhura Hospital.
Four people have been detained by the police on suspicion of being involved in the event.
