To all of you, a very happy new year 2079! without forgetting anyone, wish all of your friends, family members, and special ones a Happy New Year 2079.
The passage of time will bring about changes. Nature, like our whims, dreams, and goals, varies with the seasons and weather. As a result, we are ecstatic at the start of a new year. We make a commitment to ourselves that this year will be our year! Celebratory sentiments are at an all-time high as the clock’s hands align at midnight, signaling the start of a whole new year.
As a result, the start of a new year is frequently marked with renewed resolve for better days. For example, every year I make resolutions and vow to follow through on them. In 2078 BS, I resolved to read more, exercise, eat healthier, and lose weight while simultaneously honing my literary and artistic abilities. Despite failing to lose weight, I felt good in my own flesh and didn’t worry about the numbers on the scale. Yoga, meditation, and exercise provided me with a deep sense of serenity. In addition, I pushed my imagination to new heights.
Throughout the preceding year, I worked on my physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. And one of the many positive aspects of 2078 was that I learned a new viewpoint – it is more important to embrace one’s worth in good health and well-being rather than appearances. And self-acceptance is a wonderful sensation! It not only gives you confidence, but it also inspires you. What if I am the master of my own destiny? No longer am I only a passive observer of my life, I am in fact in charge of it. I have the ability to shape my own destiny, and what better way to recognize my own abilities than via the manifestations of my dreams? We all want to be successful, happy, and wealthy.
Our lives are intertwined with aspirations, dreams, and wishes, and the beauty of humanity is that there is always the possibility of a better future. While the globe is currently engulfed in wars, pandemics, and natural disasters, hope remains ubiquitous in all aspects of society. The preceding year had been devoted to combating the pandemic. And Nepal stood firm. Vaccinations and safety practices were implemented, resulting in dwindling coronavirus cases by the end of 2078.
People endured during the terrible year, and now it is time to re-energize, rejoice, and reconnect. Those who had to postpone their plans in 2078 are now looking forward to the New Year’s resolution of optimism. Now, travel and itinerary plans are suddenly plotted on a global scale.
The weather is nice enough. Schools and universities are reopening, and offices have resumed operations. The following days will undoubtedly be filled with chances.
Here’s to a prosperous New Year in 2079!

Nepali New Year Significance & Ritual
The Bikram Sambat or Vikram Samvat calendar is the official calendar in Nepal, and it is 56 years and 8 months ahead of the western calendar. To convert a Nepali date to a Gregorian date, use the following formula: Subtract 56 years, 8 months, and 17 days from the total. Although there are 12 months in a year, the number of days in each month varies from year to year and can reach 32. This eliminates the requirement for a leap year.
It is based on ancient Hindu traditions and is a solar calendar. It takes its name and dates from Ujjain’s legendary ruler Vikramaditya.
Every year begins on the first day of Baisakh, which falls on April 13th or 14th in the Western calendar.
The Bikram Sambat calendar is mostly utilized in Nepal and India, although it is also used in Sri Lanka (where the Tamil New Year is celebrated on April 14th), Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bhutan.
Nepali New Year is the solar new year, although it’s worth noting that Nepal also has a public holiday for the lunar new year (Sonam Lohsar).
Bikram Sambat is celebrated with parties, family reunions, the exchange of good wishes, and participation in rituals to ensure good fortune in the following year, similar to the customs of a new year festival.
