A car fell into a ditch on Shoghi-Mehli bypass in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on Monday. Three tourists lost their lives in this accident, while one person was seriously injured. After the information, the police reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital. The police have taken the bodies in possession and sent them for postmortem. The matter is being investigated.
According to the information, due to the high speed, the vehicle fell into a 900 meter deep gorge. The road accident took place near Banog village on the Shoghi-Mehli bypass. Shimla’s Additional SP Sunil Negi said that a vehicle collapse was reported late on Monday night at Police Station Baluganj. After this the police reached the spot.
With the help of the local people, the injured were taken to Indira Gandhi Medical College. In this road accident, one person died on the spot, while the other two died in the hospital. One injured is being treated in the hospital. The Additional Superintendent of Police said that the post-mortem of the dead is being conducted at the Indira Gandhi Medical College.
The victims of the accident are residents of Punjab
Additional Superintendent of Police Sunil Negi said that the people who lost their lives in the road accident were residents of Nangal in Punjab. All of them were related to each other. The deceased have been identified as Krishan s/o Chandia Nangal Punjab, Amar s/o Zail Singh Nangal Punjab and Rajveer s/o Etwari resident of Ludhiana Punjab. On the other hand, the injured has been identified as Lakhan’s son Balak Ram, who is a resident of Nangal. The injured Lakhan said that all the people in the car used to do junk work. On Monday, while going towards Solan, the vehicle fell into the ditch.
