Kakani fire: Three houses were destroyed by a fire that broke out last night in Kakani Rural Municipality-3, Acharang.
The fire reduced Maite Tamang’s, Buddhiman Tamang’s, and Sagar Tamang’s homes to ashes.
According to local social activist Krishna Dhungana, the inferno destroyed property belonging to three Tamang brothers, including food, utensils, clothing, and jewelry. Kakani fire
Though residents and a joint force of Nepal Police officers from Kakani worked together to extinguish the blaze, the fire had already reduced everything to ashes, according to Kakani-3 ward chair Dhananath Bajagain.
According to him, the fire destroyed physical property worth more than Rs 5 million. As the cause of the fire has not been determined, it appears to have started in the electric meter box.
Narayan Prasad Risal, Chief District Officer, said relief materials, including tents, would be distributed to fire survivors today. Today, the Nepal Red Cross Society‘s Nuwakot District chapter is also providing financial assistance to fire survivor families.
