A big accident took place on Tuesday night in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Here a 5-storey building on Wazir Hasan Road collapsed. 14-15 families lived in the building. Rescue is going on for the last 12 hours. So far 15 people have been evacuated. While 3 people are expected to be trapped in the debris. According to the police, continuous talks are going on with the people trapped in the debris. Oxygen is being supplied to them. On the other hand, Nawazish Mansoor, son of SP’s Kithore MLA and former cabinet minister Shahid Mansoor, the owner of the building, was taken into custody.
It is being told that this building collapsed a few hours after the earthquake on Tuesday afternoon. After this, teams of police and administration reached in a hurry. NDRF, SDRF team is engaged in rescue. An army team is also engaged in the rescue. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are keeping an eye on the whole incident. Earlier, Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, Urban Development Minister AK Sharma, Information Advisor to CM Yogi Avnish Awasthi, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad reached the spot.
It is being told that the family of Samajwadi Party spokesperson and leader Shahid Manzoor also lived in this building. When the building collapsed, SP leader Abbas Haider’s father and Congress leader Amir Haider and his wife were also present in the building. Right now the mother and daughter-in-law of former Congress spokesperson leader Zeeshan Haider are feared to be trapped in the debris. In this case, the police has detained Shahid Mansoor’s son Nawazish Mansoor from Meerut, he is being brought to Lucknow.
People are being evacuated by cutting the building
DGP UP DS Chauhan told that people are being evacuated by cutting the building, hence the rescue is getting delayed. He told that some more people are still trapped inside. He is being contacted. Oxygen is being delivered to the building by drilling. He told that it is the building of Nawazish, son of Shahid Mansoor, who was a minister in the SP government. He also has a flat in it. The builder name Yazdan built it. Now action will be taken on the basis of investigation. No guilty will be spared.
Apart from NDRF, SDRF, the army team is also involved in the rescue. When DGP UP DS Chauhan was asked about the reason for the collapse of the building, he told that only after the investigation of the expert, the exact reason would be known. Now is not the time to discuss these topics. Right now our focus is on the rescue operation. Police told that all the rescued people are safe. Out of these, 7 people have been admitted to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Hospital for treatment.
