The fire at Khairahani in Madi municipality-4 this morning destroyed property worth six million rupees.
According to the Chitwan District Police Office, a large amount of property was destroyed when a local Madhav Lamicchane’s godown caught fire unexpectedly.
Fire damaged 70 quintals of paddy, five quintals of mustard, two quintals of wheat, 35 quintals of poultry feed, one refrigerator, one television set, three solar panels, one inverter, and utensils, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Narhari Adhikari.
Similarly, he revealed that the incident resulted in the deaths of 1,200 chickens and 1,000 chicks.
The fire, which started at 4:30 a.m., was put out by locals, police officers, and firefighters. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
