The son strangled his father to death over a land dispute in Malda, West Bengal. The case pertains to Haripur area of Nazirpur under Manikchak police station area of Malda. The elder son of the deceased got a case registered against the accused brother. After which the police arrested the accused.
According to information, 65-year-old Satyanarayan Mandal lived in Haripur with his two sons. Elder son Sujit Mandal told that his younger brother Ashok Mandal had fraudulently sold his father’s 4 bighas of land without informing the family. When the father scolded him for this, he got angry and strangled him to death. Then he ran away from there. After this the family immediately informed the police.
The accused confessed the crime
According to the police, as soon as the information was received, a team of them reached the spot. The body of the deceased was taken into custody and sent for postmortem. At the same time, investigation was started by registering a case on the complaint of the elder son of the deceased and soon the accused was arrested. When the police strictly interrogated, the accused confessed his crime.
