Khalti, Nepal’s online payment service provider (PSP), has teamed with Nabil Bank Limited to allow Nabil SmartBank (mobile banking) users to load money into Khalti.
Customers of Nabil Bank may now make payments through Khalti without worrying about how to add money to their wallets thanks to the cooperation.
They can simply load funds on Khalti by using the Nabil SmartBank app, which will be expanded to include a Bank-Khalti Account link and other features in the near future.
“We feel that this cooperation would prove to be another milestone for Digital Nepal by delivering simple and straightforward payment services to all Bank and Wallet clients,” Khalti’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Binay Khadka, said of the arrangement.
Similarly, Anil Keshary Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank, expressed his delight in working with Khalti to provide digital payment services to Nabi Bank’s customers.
In Nepal’s fintech market, Khalti has established itself as a young, popular, and innovative brand. It currently has over 2.0 million active users around the country, as well as a 30K+ Agent network.
Users can use Khalti to top up their phones, watch TV, pay their internet bills, insurance premiums, Government Revenues, Waste Management Bills, and purchase domestic travel tickets, among other things. Khalti also offers its consumers numerous cashback and discounts in order to assist them to save time and money.
Nabil Bank has a large network of 135 branches, 187 ATMs, and over 1,500 Nabil Remit Agents around the country.
