The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has remarked that the filing of an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR by political parties is a positive step.
In a press statement issued Sunday, NBA General Secretary Leelamani Poudel urged political parties and Members of Parliament should work harder to bring the impeachment motion to a conclusion in accordance with the constitution.
The Nepal Bar Association has also requested favorable intervention from all political parties and MPs in order to carry the impeachment motion.
The NBA has been holding rallies for 107 days, laying out its many demands, including the Chief Justice’s resignation.
The impeachment resolution against Rana was filed in the Federal Parliament earlier today.
