Nepal COVID-19 cases spike again, 968 cases on Friday alone

In the last 24 hours, the Nepal has seen 968 new instances of covid-19, an alarming increase in the virus’s propagation, while 262 afflicted people have recovered.

The RT-PCR approach discovered 572 of the verified cases, while the antigen method detected 396.

Similarly, 284 instances have been reported in Kathmandu, 23 in Bhaktapur, and 62 in Lalitpur in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the valley to 369.

There has been no coronavirus-related mortality reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. With this, the country’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 11,602 as of today.

As of Friday, there were 5,741 active coronavirus cases in Nepal.
