Nepal Election Commission (EC) has established the nomination deadlines for the upcoming local elections.
The Nepal Election Commission (EC) approved an election program on Friday that established two days for candidates to register for the local election. As a result, candidate registration will take place on April 24 and 25.
Additionally, the final list of candidates will be published on April 28 following the conclusion of procedures such as complaint registration and necessary investigation.
Similarly, candidates will have until April 29 to withdraw their candidacy, and the final list of candidates will be published following office hours that day.
The municipal election is scheduled for May 13, with voting taking place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day.
On May 10, 48 hours prior to Election Day, the election code of conduct will take effect.
