Nepal government has warned individuals to take extra care because the number of people afflicted with the coronavirus has recently increased.
The Chief District Officers (CDOs) of three districts in the Kathmandu Valley have planned to impose stringent measures in congested locations, including marketplaces.
Govinda Prasad Rijal, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, stated that CDOs throughout the Valley would meet in a day or two to discuss the next steps.
Similarly, according to Ghanshyam Upadhya, the Chief District Officer (CDO) of Lalitpur district, they will take the appropriate steps in accordance with the Ministry of Health and the Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC).
He stated that they are proceeding in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s technical recommendations and the CCMC’s directions.
CDO Upadhyaya further stated that the vaccination drive will be stepped up, health standards would be carefully enforced, and crowds would be kept under control.
