The index has dropped to 2649.20 points as a result of today’s drop.
Today, a total of 9.55 million shares from 236 firms were exchanged, resulting in a Rs 4.621 billion turnover.
Eleven of the 13 subgroups had their share prices fall today.
Banking was down 27.79 points, Trading was down 50.26 points, Hotels and Tourism was down 69.69 points, Development was down 79.86 points, Non-Life Insurance was down 228.09 points, Manufacturing was down 51.86 points, Others was down 3.2 points, Microfinance was down 110.66 points, Life Insurance was down 56.96 points, Mutual Fund was down 0.15 points, and Investment was down 1.29 points.
Hydropower gained 14.07 points, while Finance gained 2.11 points.
