The share market index Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) climbed by 0.69 percent on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
The Nepali stock market increased by 17.99 points on Monday, closing at 2634.54 points, after falling by double digits for the previous three trading days.
All sub-indices, with the exception of hotel and tourism and others, have climbed in tandem with the NEPSE index. The transaction amount has grown in comparison to Sunday due to the improvement in NEPSE. The overall market turnover for today was Rs 2.59 billion.
Today, a total of Rs 209.5 million of Nepal Telecom Company shares were exchanged in the market. Arun Valley Hydropower made a Rs 90 million profit, whereas Jeevan Bikas Microfinance made a Rs 90 million profit.
Today’s market saw 156 scrips rise and 31 scrips fall, for a total of 192 firms traded. Only five companies’ stock prices stayed constant.
Mountain Hydro Nepal’s share price increased by 6.74 percent, while Emerging Nepal’s share price increased by 7.67 percent.
Meanwhile, since the dividend announcement, the share price of Nepal Telecom Company has been steadily dropping. The corporation declared a 40% dividend with a 20% bonus share. On Monday, Nepal Telecom’s stock dropped 2.97 percent.
