Padma Awards have been announced by the Government of India on the eve of Republic Day. Former cricketer Gurcharan Singh also named
Gurcharan Singh has been given the Padma Shri from the cricket world. Gurcharan Singh is counted among the best coaches of the country, he has also been the coach of the Indian team from 1986 to 1987. He has also been awarded the Dronacharya Award. Gurcharan Singh has trained many international cricketers, including big names like Kirti Azad, Ajay Jadeja and Murali Karthik.
Learning from Gurcharan Singh, more than 100 cricketers have spread their fire in first class cricket. 87-year-old Gurcharan Singh has never played cricket for India, but he has played 37 first-class matches, in which he has 1198 runs and 44 wickets. He also has a century to his name.
