Padma Awards 2023: Padma Awards have been announced on the eve of Republic Day. Dr. Dilip Mahalanobis of West Bengal has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan Award.
In the field of medicine (paediatrics), father of ORS Dilip Mahalanabis will be given Padma Vibhushan (posthumously). Telangana’s 80-year-old linguistics professor B. Ramakrishna Reddy will be awarded the Padma Shri in the field of literature and education (linguistics). Gond tribal wood carver Ajay Kumar Mandavi of Kanker will be awarded Padma Shri in the field of art (wood carving).
Aizawl’s Mizo folk singer K.C. Ranremsangi will be awarded the Padma Shri.
