Today the whole country is celebrating 74th Republic Day. This ceremony is very special for the corporate sector of the country. Industry personalities have been included in the list of personalities to be honored with Padma Awards (Padma Awards 2023) by the government. While Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla (KM Birla) and Sudha Murthi, wife of Infosys co-founder N Narayana Murthy, were honored with the Padma Bhushan. On the other hand, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, the Big Bull of the Indian stock market, who said goodbye to the world last year, has been posthumously awarded the Padma Shri Award.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was the ‘Warren Buffet’ of India
This time a total of 106 names were included in the list of personalities to be honored with Padma Awards. Of these, 91 have been awarded the Padma Shri, 6 the Padma Vibhushan and 9 the Padma Bhushan. Three big personalities of the industry have been included in the list of recipients of the country’s highest civilian honour. Among them are late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla and Sudha Murthy.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has been awarded the Padma Shri award posthumously. He died on 14 August 2022 last year. Jhunjhunwala, who made his debut in the stock market with just Rs 5,000, made such an identity that he was called Warren Buffet of India.

KM Birla took the business to great heights
Veteran Indian industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, who took command of a big business group at an early age, has been awarded the Padma Bhushan Award. At the age of 28, by taking the responsibility of Birla Group on his shoulders, the expansion of his group by KM Birla is an example. With his ability and hard work, he has worked to reach the turnover of Aditya Birla Group to 60 billion dollars.

Infosys started with Sudha Murthy’s loan
Sudha Murthy, wife of Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy, is also included in the list of Padma Awards 2023. He has been awarded the Padma Bhushan Award. IT giant Infosys is doing its business worldwide today and Sudha Murthy has played the most important role in starting it. Actually, the foundation of this company was laid with the 10,000 rupees given by him. After this the company is recognized in the world today. Sudha Murthy is the mother-in-law of Indian-origin Prime Minister of Britain Rishi Sunak.
