The district hospital in Palpa has ceased operations, with the exception of emergency services.
The hospital’s service was disrupted after some of its personnel were diagnosed with coronavirus.
Coronavirus was identified in nine out of ten hospital employees, including the acting medical superintendent, according to Hospital Development Committee Chair Netra Prasad Pandey.
The hospital sent a notice stating that all services have been totally shut down, with the exception of maternity care, lab, safe abortion, and recommendation service. Palpa district hospital
The hospital’s medical superintendent, six medical officers, one dental surgeon, one paramedic, and one lab technician were all involved in the diagnosis. “There was no choice but to shut down the services since they all had to stay in isolation,” Pandey explained. The rate of coronavirus infection in the district has recently increased.
