Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has arrived at the home of UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to discuss ways to break the parliamentary deadlock.

For the past few months, the UML has been preventing the meeting of the House of Representatives.

According to a source, Prime Minister Deuba visited Oli at his Balkot home on Saturday for talks after the UML skipped an all-party conference called to address the problem.

The ruling coalition’s High-Level Political Coordination Committee encouraged Prime Minister Deuba to take the lead in resolving the parliament’s impasse by conducting talks with opposition leader Oli earlier Friday.

Prior to this, Ram Chandra Poudel, a senior leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) and the Coordinator of the Political Coordination Committee, traveled to Balkot to ask Oli to remove the blockade in parliament.
