Uproar in Jamia over screening of BBC documentary, protesters detained by police
There was an uproar at Jamia Millia University in Delhi over the screening of BBC documentary, after which the protesting students were taken into police custody. At the same time, on Tuesday night too, an uproar was witnessed in JNU over the screening of the controversial BBC documentary. Actually, JNUSU showed the documentary banned by the Government of India to the students in the campus. It is alleged that during this period stones were pelted by ABVP.
A day after the ruckus at JNU, members of the Students Federation of India (SFI) announced the screening of the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University on Wednesday evening. Ruckus testified on the campus of the university.
