The government has appointed Pushparam KC as the Inspector General of Armed Police (IGP). The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, a minister said.
Inspector General of the Armed Police Shailendra Khanal was discharged on Monday after completing his four-year tenure.
AIG KC and Ram Sharan Poudel were competing for the new IGP. The government has appointed KC as the Inspector General on the basis of priority.
KC’s term will be only 21 days. Both KC and AIG Poudel will retire on May 2 due to the age limit. Then you have to select a new one.
