A hair-raising case has come to light in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Here the parents threw their three and a half month old baby girl into the canal. The girl had died due to drowning in water. The incident took place on Sunday. After getting the information, the police started the investigation. After this, the accused parents who executed the incident have been taken into custody. The police is now questioning both of them in the case.

Kanwarlal, 35, and his wife Geeta Devi, 33, living in Diyatra village of Kolayat tehsil of Bikaner, are in the custody of Chhattargarh police station. Both are accused of killing their three and a half month old daughter. Some people saw Kanwarlal and his wife riding a bike throwing three and a half month old baby Asha in the canal near the main canal of IGNP in Chhattargarh police station area at around 5.30 pm on Sunday evening.

Immediately the girl was taken out, but by then she had died.

Before the people present there could catch both of them, the bike rider couple had fled from the spot. Some youths present on the spot jumped into the canal and pulled out Asha. But by then he had died. People immediately informed the police about the incident.

The accused were detained about 20 km from the spot

Bikaner’s Superintendent of Police Yogesh Yadav told that Chhattargarh police station had received information about the couple who fled after throwing the child. After this the police investigation had started.

The couple has been detained by the police from a village about 20 km away from the spot. At present both are being interrogated. Further action will be taken on the basis of whatever information comes to the fore.

It seems that due to financial constraints the girl would have been thrown into the canal- SP

SP says that CO Vinod Kumar is investigating this matter. During interrogation, it has also come to light that the couple has three more children aged 10, eight and three. It seems that due to financial constraints, he might have thrown this girl in the canal. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
