Today is the 74th Republic Day of India and the whole country is celebrating it. A parade is organized on the duty path on the occasion of 26 January in the capital Delhi. By the way, this parade is very important every year. But this time the parade is going to be very special in many ways. For the first time in this parade, we will get to see the power of self-reliant India. For the first time, a 21 gun salute will be given instead of 25 pounder guns with 105 mm IFG indigenous guns. This is a symbol of India’s self-reliance.
This time one more thing is going to be very special in the parade. Actually, this time the Navy’s IL-38 aircraft will be included in the Republic Day parade for the last time. This is the last chance to see the skill of this aircraft involved in the parade. This maritime reconnaissance aircraft has served the Navy for 46 years. The 44 aircraft participating in the fly past will include nine Rafale jets and other aircraft including light attack helicopters.
This time Egypt’s 120-member marching squad will be in the parade. This time Agniveers will also be included in the parade. This year, along with the President of Egypt, a 120-member marching contingent of his country will also participate in the parade at the Republic Day celebrations. Let us tell you that the Republic Day parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10.30 am and will move towards Red Fort. The parade will pass through Karti Path, Subhash Chandra Bose Golchakkar, Tilak Marg and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg and Red Fort.
This time Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will be the chief guest at the 26 January parade. The 68-year-old influential Arab leader will grace the Republic Day celebrations on January 26. Sisi will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, which will include five ministers and senior officials. Earlier, the President of Egypt visited India in October 2015 to attend the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit, which was followed by a state visit in September 2016. This is the first time that the President of Egypt has been invited as the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations of India. Apart from this, a military contingent of the Egyptian Army will also participate in the Republic Day parade.
