Samajwadi Party leader and MLC Swami Prasad Maurya is firm on his statement after the controversial remarks made regarding Ramcharitmanas. Although Swami Prasad Maurya said that he has neither insulted Lord Ram nor insulted Ramcharitmanas. He said that we have objection on some cattle.

Swami Prasad Maurya said that we have objected to those couplets of Ramayana, in which Dalits and backward people have been humiliated, asked to remove that part from Ramcharitmanas.
Although an FIR has been registered against Swami Prasad Maurya in Lucknow today. Shivendra Mishra, a resident of Aishbagh, Lucknow, has lodged an FIR under IPC sections 295A, 298, 504, 505(2), 153a at Hazrantganj police station.
What did Swami Prasad say?
Swami Prasad Maurya had recently given a controversial statement regarding Ramcharitmanas. He had said that many crores of people do not read Ramcharit Manas, it is all nonsense.
