According to the Special Cell, Naved Rana, a resident of Shamli, was arrested in a raid in Narela area on January 13. 19 different pistols and 3 cartridges were recovered from him. After interrogating the accused Naved, a raid was conducted in Kandhla village of Kairana on January 20 and Salim, who made illegal weapons, was arrested.
During interrogation of Salim, it was found that a factory for making illegal weapons has been opened in the sugarcane field in the village itself. Police raided the factory, from where 10 pistols, 1 gun and a large quantity of illegal weapon making material were recovered.
