New Delhi: Congress leader Digvijay Singh raised questions on the surgical strike and even though the Congress distanced itself from this statement, the matter does not seem to be settling down. On Digvijay Singh’s statement, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday that I do not agree with Digvijay Singh’s statement. It is quite clear that we disagree with this. On the other hand, BJP expressed strong objection to the question of Congress leader Digvijay Singh. The BJP said the opposition party has become blind in its hatred towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has insulted the armed forces. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia alleged that this is actually a ‘Break India’ journey. On the other hand, retired Lieutenant General DS Hooda, the hero of the surgical strike, said on this whole issue that it is not right to bring the army into the political debate.

General Hooda, who spent nearly four decades in the army, retired in November 2016. He was the Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command of the Indian Army. In 2016, under his supervision, Indian soldiers carried out the surgical strike. After the Uri terror attack, several terrorist hideouts were targeted by crossing the Line of Control in surgical strikes. Talking to Times Now, DS Hooda said that he is upset with this statement. Army soldiers crossed the border risking their lives. It was very risky. DS Hooda said that senior officers have publicly spoken about this. There is no need to speak on this now.

This is not the first time that even before this questions have been raised on the surgical strike. On this DS Hooda said that it is not right. He said that it is not right to bring the military into the debate. It is not right to bring in a political dispute like this. It is not good for the country either.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, who has often courted controversy with his comments, while addressing a public meeting during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday said that he talks about surgical strikes. They talk about killing many people but haven’t given any proof. They are ruling with the help of bundles of lies. They talk about killing many people but haven’t given any proof. There has been a lot of uproar after this statement of Digvijay Singh.
