Roma will fight for Tammy Abraham’s signature this summer, with the club set to demand £100 million for the attacker.
Since departing childhood club Chelsea last summer, the England striker has been a big success in Italy, netting 23 goals in 37 games for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Abraham’s performance in Italy has piqued the interest of several Premier League clubs interested in bringing him back to the UK next season.
Chelsea included a buy-back clause in Abraham’s contract, allowing the club to re-sign him for approximately £67 million starting next year.
However, the Blues’ local rivals are considering a move for Abraham at the end of the season.
Manchester United is in the market for a center-forward this summer, as is Manchester City – although Pep Guardiola’s side is prioritizing a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Clubs from competing European leagues are reportedly considering a move for Abraham.
Roma is desperate to retain the 24-year-old striker, who is under contract until 2026, and sources indicate that they will place a massive £100 million valuation on him in the hope of fending off interest.
However, if a team comes close to meeting the asking price, the Serie A club — which lost £154 million last October — will struggle to resist the urge to cash in, especially given that Chelsea will be able to re-sign Abraham for considerably less next year.
