Tata Motors is engaged in further strengthening its electric vehicle portfolio. The company introduced the new electric version of its existing SUV Harrier during the Auto Expo. Now new news related to the launch timeline of this electric SUV has come to the fore, according to which it can be launched for sale in 2024 next year. Harrier EV will use Gen II EV architecture

The Harrier EV will use the Gen II EV architecture. According to media reports, this 60 kWh battery will be used in this SUV, which will give a range of 400 to 450 km. However, the company has not yet made any disclosure about its actual driving range.

Safety features will be given special attention in the Tata Harrier EV. The car gets a new rear bumper with 360-degree camera, ADAS system, blanked-off grille, a new bumper and triangular-shaped headlamp cluster, LED taillights at the rear and tweaked skid plate, an LED light bar on the boot door can be given. Apart from this, dual tone alloy wheels of new design have been given in this SUV.

10.25-inch touchscreen information display

The Tata Harrier EV interior will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen information display. The SUV will come with a fully digital instrument cluster and a redesigned console. It will get dual-tone upholstery seats.

Mahindra XU800 will compete

The company had given the prototype of the Tata Harrier EV in August last year. The Harrier EV is expected to compete with the Mahindra XU800. The Mahindra XUV800 is also expected to be launched in 2024. It is being claimed that both the SUVs will come with the same battery range, dual motor setup with AWD.
