A rape incident in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh has put humanity to shame. A woman of the district had borrowed 5000 rupees from her old neighbor, for which she had to pay the price by giving respect to her daughter. Taking wrong advantage of this case, the accused continued to sexually exploit the minor for a long time. The whole matter came to light when she was 3 months pregnant. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused.
This heinous case pertains to the Kurud area of the district. The incident came to light when the victim’s mother lodged a complaint on January 27 at the police station in Kurud area of Dhamtari. This loan case is for the month of October 2022.
The minor’s mother told that due to shortage of money in the house, she had asked for ₹ 5000 as financial help from the neighbor Sudarshan Nagarchi. When she asked for money, on the same day the neighboring elder called the woman’s minor daughter home and forced herself on her. Along with this, the accused threatened the victim and her mother not to tell anything about this to anyone. Fearing death threats, the minor did not tell anyone about the rape and was repeatedly raped for months.

Because of this, the health of the minor started deteriorating for a few days and when she was taken to a nearby hospital for examination, it was found in the report that the minor is 3 months pregnant.
As soon as the matter came to light, the police arrested 60-year-old Sudarshan from his house on January 29, as soon as the report was registered. The accused has also confessed his crime. Under which sections of the Poxo Act have been imposed. In this case, action will also be taken under IPC 294, 323, 506, 376 (2) sections.
