On Monday, the last day of the week, the Nepse index, which measures share turnover, has also declined by double digits.
The Nepse index has dropped by 16.69 points to 2613.67 points. The Sensitive Index, which measures the trading activity of Class A companies, also declined by 6.17 points.
Despite the decline in the Nepse index, the transaction amount has increased compared to Wednesday. Shares worth over Rs 3.24 billion were traded on Thursday as only Rs 2 billion was traded on Wednesday. A total of 52,98,543 shares of 224 securities have been traded through 45,076 transactions during the day. Out of which, the transaction amount has reached Rs. 3.24 billion 89.43 million.
Despite the market downturn, the share prices of many life insurance companies have risen. The life insurance group’s sub-index has risen by 370 points.
