The dispute that started between the President of the Wrestling Federation of India and the wrestlers is not taking the name of stopping. In fact, the Sports Ministry has constituted a monitoring committee to investigate the matter. Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had said that this committee will investigate the allegations and present its report in a month. But the players have opposed this committee. Wrestlers say that their opinion was not taken before the formation of the committee.
Expressing protest, wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat have tweeted. He said that we were assured that we would be consulted before the formation of the Oversight Committee. But it is a matter of great sadness that we were not even consulted before the formation of this committee.

Earlier, Anurag Thakur had said that we have separated sports associations from politics. This thing has been specially taken care of in the constitution of the committee. The Sports Minister had said that only players are being given posts in the committees. Olympic medalist Mary Kom has been made the chairman of the 5-member committee. Apart from Mary Kom, Yogeshwar Dutt, Trupti Murgunde, Radhika Sriman and Rajesh Rajagopalan have also been included in the committee.
